I've hardly been outside my room in days

There's something about rain that makes me forget my umbrella, cold snaps that make me forget my coat and gloves, and sitting through training courses that make me forget it's 11am, not 11pm, and hence I shouldn't be yawning.

Anyways, the training course I'm on today and tomorrow is actually a very welcome break from the 12 hour days I've been working. Plus, free food is always good (well, not always, but in this case, definitely).

I'm currently loving: scones, youtube, free tote bags from Marie Claire, GGG
I'm currently missing: reading, sunshine, absent friends
I'm currently hating: my growing-out-fringe, end of financial year
I'm currrently looking forward to: September, kickboxing class

a night out

When was the last time you had a night out with a group of friends in the city? Wandering around looking for food, being jostled by hordes of people but smiling anyway without a care in the world? Queuing up to get a good seat, seeing a concert, then spontaneously deciding to grab some ice cream late into the night?

Maybe it's me... maybe I'm getting old... maybe I'm getting less and less social as life goes on. When you settle into a certain mindset of adult life, which comes with its responsibilities, decisions and pressure, I think that the simple things are more unexpected and welcome. In short - it was surprisingly fun.
