Swan River
Hmmm... I seem to be using my camera phone a lot these days!

Having a nice time in Perth. Woke up at 3am this morning cos my body clock thought it was 6am. Joy! Work is a 5 minute walk from the hotel, which would be lovely, except that it turns into a 30 minute walk cos I have to walk past a ton of shops. How good are the shops here? Lots of cute home gadgety things and fashion that you don't see in sydney. Too bad their night shopping night is Friday! Grrr.

Check the view from the office - it would be so distracting to look at that every day. I'd never get anything done!

Painting Fun
When was the last time you got to play around with paints? My wonderful visual arts team at church went all out on a mural of the 6 days of creation for the kiddies on Saturday. Soooo much fun. I painted some yellow flowers. Heh!

Day 1, 2, 3

Day 4, 5, 6

It was all going swimmingly til the hail started (pun fully intended!) Luckily the mural held up just fine!

Way out West
Just came back from my third work luncheon this week. I always have this deathly feeling in the pit of my stomach before these things – knowing that I’m expected to rub shoulders, sparkle knowledgably, consolidate clients and network, network, network. It’s been weird getting back “into the industry” after a year out of the game, so to speak. Still, today was the ASFA conference (400 or so attendees) and I had fun – bumping into old colleagues, getting to know current clients, chomping down on some yummy asparagus (don’t you love it when it’s cooked just right??).

Next week I’m off to Perth for a few days to run some presentations and training sessions. Remember how I love hotels? Yup, still do. Hehe.

Life is weird, y’know?

Piccie
Was at Milson's Point Ferry Wharf late this arvo and couldn't held snapping a pic on my phone. Pwetty!

The Big Decision
Spent a few hours the other night going through potential uni courses with my bro (who's doing the International Bacceulaureate for Yr 12 this year). Ah, memory stirs... It makes me think of those days... from years ago...

Ahem. I really should sit down and watch Les Mis something soon. Yes, well, anyway.

It's strange going through the process again - I'm sure it's quite daunting for my bro, but it really blew me away how little choice there seems to be nowadays - maybe it's just me! I found a course that I would have LOVED to have done. It's a combined Bachelor of Business / Bachelor of Arts (International Studies) where you do your business degree, plus study the language and culture of another country, like Italy, Japan, China etc - then you spend a year (as part of your course) studying and working there! And UTS pays for your flights, uni fees, transfers etc - you just cough up food and accomodation. Sweet!
