A week in the life...

Time is whizzing by at the moment. It's September tomorrow. Golly. Let's see, what's happened this week in the life of V?

Work
After a series of inebriated farewells (or rather, watching amusedly as other people enjoyed inebriated farewells), my boss worked his last day today at my company. It brought back memories of a previous job (2 years ago) when due to rationalisation, each week saw another team member bite the dust, and we devoured fine food and free drinks every week for about 3 months!

Bro's Year 12
I feel like I'm doing Year 12 all over again. Except this time it's as hard as 1st year uni. Darn that International Baccalaureate.

Church
Working out all over again how to be efficient and firm without hurting people's feelings. *sigh*

Skating
I've now officially had 4 figure skating lessons.

Moves I can do okay:
forward 2 foot glides
forward 1 foot glides
backward 2 foot glides
forward stroking (normal side to side skating)
forward swizzles (tracing "coke bottles" on 2 feet)
\ /
/ \ /
/ forward half swizzles (gliding on 1 foot while the other does the swizzle thing)
Crashing into a wall to stop

Moves I'm pretty bad at (but working on!):
Backward stroking
Backward swizzles
Forward crossovers
2 foot turns (forward 2 foot glide, turn, backward 2 foot glide)
T-stops (gracefully braking with one foot)
